We would like to thank our families and friends(Ms Teh and Mr Johari who were there) for sending us off. Some of us were too excited to sleep the night before. We bade farewell to everyone and we were off!
Finally, we reached Perth at 3pm. The flight was pretty smooth except for some turbulence. Temperature was around 13 degrees celsius. As we stepped off the plane, we felt a light breeze, but it was only once we walked out of the airport, did we experience the full blast of the Australian wind. Brrrr! We quickly put on our jackets, hats and gloves.
We met our bus driver Mark who took us on a quick tour round the city of Perth. We made our way to King's Park, where we took our first Australia group photo.
The children were making their way towards the State War Memorial in King's Park. Kevyn and Sean Kiat decided to sit down on the green grass, and have a rest.
Zhao Hui, Natalie, Celest, XinZe, Claire and Vanessa gathered in front of the breathtaking views at King's Park.
Elisha, stopping awhile to admire the view from the path.

Soon after, we checked into the New Esplanade Hotel and went for dinner. It started to rain once we left the hotel. Quickly, the ponchos and umbrellas were taken out.
After the cold and rainy night out, everyone was looking forward to a hot shower and a good night's rest at the hotel.
We look forward to our second day in Perth.
