Today we visited the Scitech Discovery Centre. There were a lot of activities for the children to try out.
What does this machine do?
Isaaz trying out the wind cannon.
Chelsea, Vanessa and Joyce trying to solve the 'murder' at the centre by going through the clues, while learning Science.
The big attraction of the day was the Caversham Wildlife Park. Besides getting to learn about the various animals, we got to touch the koalas, feed the kangaroos and take pictures with a wombat. We would have liked to bring home one , unfortunately none of them would be able to fit our filled bags.
Everyone getting food from the park guide.
Winnie and Crystal feeding the kangaroo.
Cindy, trying to convince a kangaroo to eat from her hand.
Megan, Claire, Sheryl, Winnie and Crystal with a new friend.
Zhao Hui corners one kangaroo in the enclosure. Please eat!
BIng Yuan and his new friend, the sleepy-looking wombat. Watch out for the falling poo!
Gladys is up close with the koala.
Soft, cuddly-looking and simply adorable. Are we talking about the koala or Rebecca?
Isaaz trying to make friends with the koala.
We got to learn lots about the animals native to Autralia. We also got to see a lot of other birds and other wild life.
The children also discovered the wonders of the coin press machine. For one Australian dollar, you get a souvenir coin with a pattern of our choice stamped on it.
The last stop of the day was the Margaret River Chocolate Factory. We were very happy to eat the free samples. Though we had bought many chocolates, it will be a miracle if all reach Singapore.
What each of us looked like after eating all the free chocolates.
Tomorrow we will be heading out to St Simon Peter Catholic Primary School before going to the farm.
Till the next time!
